Dear friends

To optimize the community content ecosystem, unify content publishing channels, and give everyone a purer and more focused reading and submission experience, we are retiring the MtfBBS forum and migrating the entire community to a new platform. This page explains which site is closing, which site continues, and the exact timeline.

Where everything is going

MtfBBS (this site) is being permanently retired. All content output, user submissions, article updates, daily communication, and other services of the original MtfBBS forum will be wholly migrated to a brand-new content platform: www.mtfnote.cn.

www.mtfnote.cn is the new permanent home. All future new articles, new reflections, new submissions, and community updates will be published there — not here.

www.mtfnote.cn is positioned as a content site focused on essays, insights, popular science, and personal journey records for the MTF community — with a cleaner structure and more focused content, making it more suitable for the long-term accumulation of high-quality original content.

What happens to MtfBBS, and when

  1. Effective immediately — MtfBBS enters read-only mode. This site
    All interactive functions on this site are now closed, including posting, replying, commenting, submitting, and registration. Only site-wide content browsing permissions remain. All historical posts, articles, and materials can still be viewed, consulted, and backed up normally.
  2. April 2, 2027 — MtfBBS is permanently and officially shut down. This site
    On this date, this website — MtfBBS — will completely stop all access services. The forum goes offline and will no longer be open to the public. After that date, this site cannot be visited.
  3. From now on — www.mtfnote.cn remains online. New site
    The new site is live and will keep running. It is not being shut down. It is where the community continues.

This is not an April Fools' joke. The shutdown date was deliberately set to April 2, not April 1, because this is a real and final decision. MtfBBS will genuinely go offline on April 2, 2027 — please treat this announcement seriously and back up your content and move to the new site in time.

What you need to do

  1. Move to the new site. Please go to www.mtfnote.cn as soon as possible to stay, read, submit, and communicate. MtfBBS will not come back.
  2. Back up your own content before the shutdown. If you need to keep historical content you have published on MtfBBS, please save it yourself before April 2, 2027. Once this site goes offline, it will not be retrievable from here.
  3. Nothing about the community itself is changing. The original community atmosphere, content themes, and creative direction will continue completely unchanged — only a more suitable content carrier is being changed.
